Who we are
Library Outreach Services is an extension of the services offered to the community by the Tye Preston Memorial Library. The Library’s mission is to serve the informational, recreational, and educational needs of the community residents and senior visitors. We serve the community through our resources, programs, and services, and strive to be a place where books are only the beginning.
What we do
Library Outreach Services offers a variety of services to the community including book delivery to the homebound, pop-up Library stops throughout the community, and a book delivery collaboration with the local Meals on Wheels program. We are your library, everywhere you are.
Home Delivery Services
Home Outreach Services helps provide library materials for those that are unable to leave home to visit the Library for a variety of reasons. Our outreach coordinator will select and deliver materials to you based off of your provided preferences. If you or someone you love is in need of outreach services, contact the Library to see if you qualify!
Community Events and School Visits
Library Outreach Services is dedicated to bringing the Library out to the community. Whether we are tabling at a community event, hosting a storytime, or sharing resources and information with local schools, we want to bring the Library to you! To request the Library outreach table at your next event or to request a visit from our outreach coordinator at your school, please contact the Library.
Library Pop-up
Library pop-up stops bring the Library out into the community. This is a fully-functioning library hosted all at one table! Here, you can sign up for a library card, learn about library resources, and even check out some books! We’re bringing the Library to you! Library pop-ups can set up in your lobby or in a safe parking space.
Senior Residence Popups
The Library hosts regular popup stops every month at the Residence at Overlook and Residence at Canyon Lake. Residents are able to check out two materials for the month and return items at the next stop. If your community center would like to host a regular Library popup, please contact the Library.
