Volunteer

Library volunteers are key to the success of the Library.  In 2017 volunteers contributed 12,854 hours of their time.  Kim Ellery is the staff member in charge of recruiting, training, and coordinating the volunteers who staff the circulation desk and provide many other services including:

  • Repairing books
  • Providing needed maintenance to the library and fountain area
  • Shelving books
  • Teaching literacy, computer classes and ESL
  • Helping with children’s programs
  • Assisting the library staff in many other ways, as needed
If you would like to contribute your time and talents to the community, volunteering at the library is a fun and friendly way to do it.  It is a great way to meet new people and make new friends.
